Hotel MikołajA family aparthotel close to the heart of the Old Town
Since the summer of 2006, the Hotel Mikolaj has offered travellers to Poland a new alternative to accommodation in Krakow. What was once a stately house in the centre of the Old Town has been lovingly restored into a delightful three star hotel that has quickly staked its claim as one of the best midrange hotels in the city.
Hotel Mikolaj puts a lot of emphasis on a personal approach to tourism and leisure with a ten rooms offering spacious and comfortable accommodation in twin, double, triples and suites. In total Mikolaj sleeps a maximum of twenty eight people, ensuring a experience which is a far cry from the impersonality of larger chain hotels. Each room is fully furnished with a bathroom and in addition the suites come replete with a lounge area perfect for relaxing and unwinding.
One of the premium joys of the Hotel Mikolaj is the restaurant, which is cast in the hotel's atmospheric and historic cellar. Seating nearly fifty people, breakfast, lunch and dinner at the restaurant become a quintessential Krakovian experience thanks to the tantalising Polish cuisine and the cosy red brick environs.
Most guests of the Hotel Mikolaj will praise most of all the hotel's location. Perched right on the romantic Planty Gardens, which once circumvented the Old Town in the form of a moat, the hotel makes an ideal base from which to explore Krakow. The Rynek (or Main Market Square) is just a hundred yards away, and all of the city's foremost attractions, restaurants and nightclubs are within walking distance.
